About the La Habra Host Lions
The La Habra Host Lions Club is a member club in the International Association of Lions Clubs. Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the world's largest service club organization with over 1,400,000 members around the world. We have clubs in over 190 countries and geographic areas.
Our club was chartered in 1947. Soon after, the members began by putting on a dance and cook out that has become a very large and successful fund raising event, the La Habra Corn Festival now in its 60th year. Each year the festival allows the club and many other groups in La Habra to raise funds to help those in need in our community.
Our club is made up of men and women, not only from La Habra, but from many different communities who have an interest in furthering the goals of our club and our city.
In 2005, the club formed the La Host Lions Foundation. The Foundation is now the fundraising and dispersing arm of the Club. All donations made to the Foundation are tax-deductible as the Foundation is recognized by the federal government as a 501(C)3 corporation.
